Barry Smith - CEO

 

Barry put himself through college as a handy man and supported his theater habit as a contractor in Boston and NYC. As a theater rat in NYC he designed and built theatrical sets and remodeled residential apartments, kitchens and baths. For a time he framed houses in Rhode Island, NY and Massachusetts and he eventually built his own house in Croton-On-Hudson NY, with the skills he learned on the job. 

As a contractor in California, Barry has focused on green building and has been certified as a Sustainable Building Advisor by the SBAP, is a LEED AP, a Green Point Rater, Build It Green Professional and a HERS Rater.

Barry continues to immerse himself in the concept of sustainability as it relates to the health of humanity, the planet and all its critters. He prides himself on finding creative, common sense solutions to the challenges of leading a greener life.
